I originally created this costume for a costuming group at Dragon*Con 2009, but a scheduling conflict kept me from meeting up with them. Since this costume was already completed, I wore it for a Forest of Doors NPC later that weekend. Initially, the concept was supposed to be that of a steampunk White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. Once it became evident that I would be unable to make the group, however, I toned down the steampunk elements a bit and focused on simply making something fun and whimsical, which I hoped would do the character justice.

The costume above is partially created from other costumes in my closet. I re-used the short pants and waistcoat from Mattie Irons's summer outfit, and added a pair of white vinyl bunny ears I made for a Halloween costume a few years ago. Specifically for the costume, I created a pair of gray fleece spats (not pictured) with black and silver buttons, and the short tailcoat you see in the picture. The tailcoat was made out of a chocolate brown dupioni silk, and is lined with gold satin. It ties across the bust with a bright blue satin ribbon which is its only closure.
