This gown was one of the first costumes I ever made and I was fairly pleased with how it turned out. The bodice of the gown is made from a seafoam green poly shantung, as are the detachable sleeves. The sleeves tie over the arms with a series of silver grommets and white satin ribbon. The skirt of the gown is made of a white crepe, and is pleated at the waistline. There is a triple strand of pearl trim at the waist, and the gown zips via invisible zipper in the back. Underneath the gown is a half-chemise made of sheer white sparkle chiffon. The cuffs close with elastic and there is a drawstring at the neckline. The ends of the drawstring are tipped with pewter leaf beads and seed pearls.
