This is such a light, breezy costume that I endevored to get more use of it after the 2005 Dawn Look-A-Like Contest and turned it into a costume for one of my LARP NPCs. I removed the skull details at the waist and shoulders and replaced them with a sash and trim.

I'm very fond of this costume, as I think it perfectly conveyed the concept I was trying to get across. I built this costume around the idea of Dawn as the mythological goddess Persephone, and I wanted it to have a classical Greek feel to it. I made the dress in fluttering white crepe and the top and waistband are self-lined, while there is a short invisible zipper at the right hip.

I'm sorry I couldn't find any pictures of the dress from behind, as it is completely backless, save for two small crossed straps and the drapes that fall over each shoulder. The material flows beautifully when I move and overall this costume is just a joy to wear.

I hand sculpted and hand painted the horned skull details on the shoulders and waistband out of craft clay, and the shoulder skulls had pinbacks so that they were detachable. I also made the rose headpiece out of a buckram base, silk roses and floral glue.
