Leo is an NPC for Forest of Doors who comes from a splinter world which consists entirely of a Vaudville-style theater. We planned to use a pair of basic black slacks and a white button down shirt as the basis of his costume, but wanted something that would really stand out onstage for his waistcoat. The waistcoat pictured here is made from red micro-dot sequin fabric, which has a natural stretch and had to be fused to interfacing to maintain its shape. The waistcoat is fully lined in the same black satin used as contrast on the collar and patch pockets, and it closes with black satin buttons. It is impossible to capture just how glittery the fabric is on film. Occasionally our players refer to this waistcoat as the 'disco ball vest'.
