This dress was made for a LARP set in Atlantic City in 1948. Since the character I was playing was effectively a conservative librarian, I wanted something that was a summer dress, but wasn't overly revealing. Then, I found a lovely vintage print cotton of cream colored acorns on a dark brown background and set to work. I used a Vintage Vogue pattern for the base, but made a few tiny adjustments. The dress zips in back with an invisible zipper and has a matching sash made out of the same cotton material.
