I created a LARP character toward the beginning of 2006 who came from a fantasy Greek/Roman culture. The character, Eidothea, was strongly tied to the sea, so I wanted costuming that would reflect both her cultural and elemental heritage. I chose a light blue linen material and trimmed it with two sizes of metallic gold braid trim. The trim has a greenish-blue overlay above the gold which reminds me of an abalone shell. The dress zips up the back and the "sash" wraps around the waist several times to knot at the front.
