This mask was created for the first event of a Lovecraftian horror LARP I ran for several years. The premise of the event, called Horror at Meadow Hill Manor, was an archaeologist's discovery of fragments of an unusual mask at the Aswan Quarry in Africa. He eventually collected all of the other pieces scattered across the world, and completed the mask at a society function in the United States. Naturally, once the mask was complete, things took a turn for the frightening and weird.

There are two versions of this mask, one a fragmented clay version used as a prop, and this wearable version used by the NPC playing the entity attached to the mask. The mask itself was hand sculpted from air dry clay, then hand painted and attached to the face mesh of a premade hood. The effect was rather disturbing when the NPC came lurching out from the dark.
